A pet peeve

 I really really really hate when amateur writers say that they're writing a novel. It's very presumptuous, assuming it'll actually get picked up by a publisher and run as a novel, and that it's good enough for that to happen. Unless it's actually novel-length, which about 99% of the time I doubt it really is, it isn't a novel, especially when you're writing it.

That's one of those teeth-grinding pet peeves of mine. There's your tidbit about me for the day.
